Well if you never heard about 76 seconds. They are coming from the Kuala Pilah aka Chaos KP scene in the 90s. The bands consist the line up of The Bollocks and they are one of other band that quite active during that ear. A very tense and filthy raw hardcore band. Really inspired by the early punk stuff. • ALUK TODOLO "Descension" Casssette [Seratus Ribu Records]
The first full-length shows the band developing the esoteric theorems established on it's debut 7" and going far deeper in the methodical exploration of the occult powers of musical trance. With the
goal to create a timeless, organic mixing of krautrock's strangeness and black metal's coldness, Aluk Todolo conjures rabid obsessive rhythms and abyssal disharmonic guitars, subliminal spiritualist
vibrations and bizarre, magick summonings. By reducing psychedelic improvisation to a bare, telluric instrumentation, and basking in the archaic rawness of lo-fi production, the trio elaborates on an
audio ritual meant to be monolithic and stabbing, hypnotic but unpredictable, minimalist yet teeming.

Second Album. Here, my friends, is a frikken evil release. Prepare yourself for this should you choose to take the plunge into this album’s murky grasp. God damn this is depressing. Aluk Todolo have succeeded in making a release in a very, very difficult style; this being straight-up, repetitive minimalism. Repeat, this is extremely difficult to pull off. Offhand, I can’t even think of an album I’ve heard that did it and managed to stand out. Finsternis, yeah, this one does it. Plus, gotta love that artwork. Like other Utech releases we’ve encountered, it comes in a nice fold-out in a black slip case with black/white the dominate, and only, color scheme. The main imagery looks like some sort of dark fog bank with a disembodied female torso in the middle of it, barely standing out until you actually look at it.
RM 18.00
Stream

Third Album. For better and worse, audacity is an essential aspect of Aluk Todolo. After all, for the bulk of the last decade, the French trio of black metal veterans has attempted an unwieldy mission-- to set the dark sounds of their past to the typically kaleidoscopic expanses of krautrock. That task actually seems feasible for a band with enough gumption to lift its name from an ancient, ritualistic religion practiced by a third of the people in a mountainous region of Indonesia, or an act that insists its music is a way to leave he world behind. "The requested conditions to play our music," drummer Antoine Hadjioannou said in a 2007 interview, "is to get in a trance and forget everything... when the musician finally disappears behind the forces he does summon." But the nerviest thing Aluk Todolo have done to date is to record and release their latest album, an 85-minute, double-disc set of eight continuous and intricate sprawls named Occult Rock. The title itself is an albatross, a double-barrel promise that becomes a burden in much the same way as Demdike Stare's claim to "occult beats." Perhaps nearly 90 minutes is sufficient for a ritual, but it's also a very long time to "rock" without pause; at least Mahavishnu McLaughlin knew enough to call his band an orchestra.

Repeat visitors here have surely read my waxing and waning (both pro and con, to be fair) about modern hardcore's apparent newfound love for Oi! and streetpunk. But take a gander at this shit and tell me that the new wave of rehash isn't about three generations past its time - which is totally fine...just a gentle reminder. FIST OF FURY hailed from Kuching, Sarawak (that's in Malaysian Borneo, in case you are curious), and dropped this demo in 1997 (the year their city was covered by an inexplicably brutal haze arguably caused by multinational greed, in case you are curious), and even though the "third world" punk scene was still burgeoning at the time, these tracks are pure devastation. Four on the floor straightforward hardcore punk, with gruff, throaty vocals that could not be more blunt - the "Chaos!!" chorus to "Organised Chaos" is quintessential blitzkrieg, so simple and absolutely bang on. There are only five tracks here, with the title track and "Fuck The System" standing out as highlights, but those looking to expand old school hardcore horizons beyond North American shores would be well advised to join in. >> -- review from Terminal Boredom

The only (Malaysian) band that matters. In all seriousness, the GARRISON has taken the CLASH songbook and turned it tp their own ends. Slashing huitars, rabble-rousing lyrics, and the odd reggae song thrown in - check. The singer even sounds a lot like Strummer. No, it's not that original, but they do it better than the most. I bet they are great live. They probably draw a big crowd as well. They remind me a bit of Bay Area band LA PLEBE in that way. The graphic in the booklet are funny and clever as well. I can't really overstate how well they capture the CLASH sound. The four or five reggae tracks are a bit cod, and the album ends with a flaccid accoustic protest ballad, but the punk songs are energetic, sharp and well crafted. This is well worth watching. If they were American they'd probably be on Alternative Tentacles and touring with LEFTOVER CRACK or whoever, and blowing them off the stage. Great stuff. (AM) (Knot)

Emerging in a haze of demented riff science and booze-addled abandon, Hey Colossus have carved out a notable niche for themselves in the British underground’s murkier quarters. They’ve dished out a formidable array of wax over the last decade, specialising in a primordial barrage of abject noise from overheated ampstacks. Yet for all the grit and gnarl of their output thus far, it’s seemingly only been a warm-up for their latest opus, which sees their monstrous assault finely honed into an album as beguiling as it is bulldozing. ‘In Black And Gold’, their eighth album proper and first for Rocket Recordings, ushers in a new incarnation of Hey Colossus.

Helta Skelta is the newest face of Australian punk. While the group already has an album and a few singles under their belt, Beyond the Black Stump takes their sound in unexpected directions. This is the record people have been waiting for them to write—it’s hands-down their strongest batch of songs, and the recording does them complete justice. Various elements have always been there, swirling in the soup of varied influences and ideas these guys soak in, but Beyond the Black Stump smacks of a band getting its ducks in a row. In particular, frontman Jon Worpole’s vocals have mellowed from an earlier, more aggressive hardcore delivery into a brilliantly snarky, deadpan, sardonic drawl that draws easy comparison to Eddie Current Suppression Ring or X. The guitars are tight, choppy and bright, the bass and drums pin the beat down with straightforward but rock-solid rhythms.

Very good new breed fast hardcore band that mixed up a touch of modern hardcore and old fashioned fast core. Bands like Slight Slapper or Das Oath comes in mind. This first debut release come with 6 songs with very good production in term of sound wise. If you still love extreme hardcore music, then grab this.
